Nathanie Yaskey, 15, has always wanted to be a lifeguard.

If pressed, she'll shyly divulge the reasons why.

"This is so corny," said the Shaker Heights teen. "But I used to watch Baywatch' when I was a little girl, and that's why."

No doubt, "Baywatch" made lifeguarding look glamorous, as did Pepsodent and Wrigley commercials for an earlier generation.
