Dear friends and partners,

It is that time of year once again…collecting applications, scheduling interviews and possibly even training courses! Each year the off-season seems to shrink a bit more as the world of aquatic safety demands more and more full-time focus from a year round perspective.

Over the course of the last 6 months Ellis & Associates has been working to highlight the Comprehensive Aquatic Risk Management Program and the unmatched safety record that the client family has achieved and continues to focus on each and everyday. You have seen in the industry periodicals (also sent via email to all clients) the advertisement congratulating all clients on another year of zero drowning! Recently you have received two additional marketing items:

  • Comprehensive Program Brochure- A Tri-fold brochure highlighting the major differences between the E&A Comprehensive Aquatic Risk Program and lifeguard training provided by all other providers.
  • Comprehensive Aquatic Risk Management Program. Video- The short video is another quality video produced by Tom Merriman- E&A Media Consultant. The video also highlights the E&A Comprehensive Program as it weaves an AED success story throughout the video to spotlight the effectiveness of the Comprehensive Program

The star of the new video is a Chris Main, a retired school teacher who experienced a sudden cardiac arrest poolside at Shaker Heights, OH. Chris and his wife Sara joined us for the premiere of the video at this year’s International Aquatic Safety School. This story provides an equal balance of a positive story when viewed in conjunction with Touched By A Drowning for training courses. We hope you enjoy the video!

One of the driving forces behind the new marketing/promotional program is to provide the aquatic industry with the facts about the Ellis & Associates Comprehensive Aquatic Risk Management Program. These facts highlight you and your facilities commitment and dedication for “Making a Difference” in the lives of our guests, and as Chris Mains’ daughter states in the video “You changed the course of my family”.

The 5 major differences between the E&A Comprehensive Aquatic Risk Management Program and all other providers are:

  • On-Going Consulting Relationship- No one else provides a consulting relationship to their clients.
  • Comprehensive Aquatic Risk Management Program- No one else has one! All other providers have a lifeguard training program and that’s it. The Comprehensive Program is built around and augments the ILTP™ to provide proactive standards, policies and procedures to maintain a drowning free facility.
  • Accountability- In the absence of standards there cannot be accountability. No other program provides standards or aquatic facility operational audits which measure against the program standards.
  • Licenses v. Cards- E&A Licenses provide lifeguard standards and accountability. Cards simply state that the person on the face of the card passed today and doesn’t speak to their on-going skills, preparedness or readiness as a lifeguard.
  • Skin in the Game- E&A is the only provider to carry Professional Liability Insurance with a bodily injury inclusion which covers our entire scope of service (Consulting, Instructor/Lifeguard Training, Audits, and Comprehensive Program). Any other provider’s scope of service begins and ends with training of lifeguard Instructors and therefore any insurance coverage provided would only apply to negligence arising out of instructor training only.
  • All E&A clients understand these differences and have clearly made a commitment to be the best and operate in a first class manner. After all isn’t that what the public expects of the aquatics industry- To provide a drowning free pool?

Thanks to all E&A clients for your dedication and commitment to Zero Drowning! We at E&A are extremely proud to call all of our client’s partners and friends!
